We have 5 boutique bedrooms for guests to stay in overnight and enjoy the ultimate Heritage experience. Situated on the first floor of the building, our rooms are cosy and inviting, with large comfortable beds throughout. All our rooms feature en-suite bathrooms equipped either with baths with overhead showers or walk in shower rooms. Every room has tea & coffee making facilities and hairdryers. Each room is decorated differently to give them individual character, so scroll down to choose your favourite.
All room bookings include a dinner reservation in our restaurant where you can enjoy our tasting menu. Then, join us the following morning in our lovely breakfast room for a delicious breakfast whilst you relax and enjoy the tranquility of village life.

We require all our overnight guests to dine with us in our restaurant where we serve an 8 course tasting menu priced at £92pp on Thursday evenings and £105pp on Friday & Saturdays.
Check in is from 4pm and check out the following morning is at 11am.
Breakfast is served between 9am and 10:30am.
Terms & Conditions
Please note we will take a £100 deposit for all DBB packages at the time of booking. For room bookings, we operate a strict 48 hour cancellation policy. Any cancellations outside of this period will have their deposit refunded in full. All room bookings come with a reservation in our dining room for you to enjoy our tasting menu (£92pp on Thursday/ £105pp on Friday & Saturday), we cannot accommodate guests overnight without dining in our restaurant.Your tasting menu, drinks and any additional courses ordered, as well as our discretionary 12.5% service charge, will be charged to your room to be settled on your departure.
Options for multiple night stays or bed & breakfast only will only be available on quieter evenings and are decided at the restaurant’s discretion. Please enquire directly for more information.
Room 1 – Mansell Mactaggart
The Mansell McTaggart room is named for one of our amazing Kickstarter backers, who supported our crowd funding project to open Heritage back in 2019. We have decorated it in dark pinks & purples.
This room is cosy and inviting, with a super king sized bed and ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower room. All rooms feature hairdryers, luxury handmade toiletries from Artful Teasing, an independent producer based in West Sussex as well as tea & coffee making facilities. Our coffee is sourced from Lindfield Coffee Works which is only minutes away from Heritage and tea from Bird & Blend.
Room 2 – Jacob’s Ladder
Jacob’s Ladder is one of our three larger rooms and has beautiful windows looking out over the village, it is filled with natural light throughout the day and features a super king sized bed, or twin beds if preferred, comfortable armchairs and an ensuite bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Jacob’s Ladder is dog friendly, if you wish to bring your dog please let us know on the booking form and please note that dogs are welcome in the bar, but not the main dining room.

Room 3 – Three Hundred
One of our larger rooms, with views over Slaugham and the village green, Three Hundred is spacious and bright. Featuring a super king sized bed, or twin beds if preferred, with an ensuite bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. The bedroom also has comfortable armchairs and coffee table, so you can relax in your room with a cup of coffee.

Room 4 – Venus
Venus is decorated with beautiful, tranquil blues and has brilliant views overlooking our garden and the stunning Sussex countryside behind it. The room has a kingsized bed and ensuite bathroom, complete with bath and overhead shower.

Room 5 – Colonel Warren
Named for the original owners of The Chequers – the building which Heritage calls home, Colonel Warren is the largest of our bedrooms and overlooks the village green from the armchairs nestled in the beautiful original bay windows. The room features a super king sized bed and large ensuite bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.
